Aص = ±‪(3/2)‬س
Bص = ±‪(2/3)‬س
Cص = ±3س
Dص = ±‪(4/9)‬س

للقطع الزائد ‪س²/أ² − ص²/ب² = 1‬ خطا تقارب ‪ص = ±(ب/أ)س‬. هنا ‪أ² = 4‬ فـ ‪أ = 2‬، و‪ب² = 9‬ فـ ‪ب = 3‬. إذاً ‪ص = ±(3/2)س‬.
